Class 6 Assignment 7

1. Poster: This was the Beginners Challenge on Canva. It was very helpful to complete to learn how to use the site.

Here is the Canva graphic being edited on the site.

 2. Business Card. I created a business card with my name and email. It was very easy to do and there were a lot of layout options.

3. Photo Collage: This is a photo collage. I searched their images for different things I like and dragged the pictures into the bubbles. 

Here I chose the last picture, the orchid, and double clicked it into the bubble.

4. Card: I made a Halloween greeting card with text and clip art from Canva. 

Here I chose the custom orange color for the circle.

1. What is Canva?

Canva is an online graphic design tool which allows users to create a wide variety of projects using their templates. You can make anything from a poster, to a business card, or even a Facebook cover photo. 

2. Is Canva a bitmap graphics tool or a vector graphics tool, or both?

Canva is a vector graphics tool. It works very similarly to the vector graphics we used on Microsoft word, but is much easier to navigate. 

3. How is Canva similar to Piktochart?

Canva is very similar to pictochart in that they are both drag and drop graphics tools. Both websites offer an easy way to do graphic design, which is great for someone like me who is no naturally artistic. They also each allow you to upload and work with your own photos if you choose. 

4. How is Canva Different than Pictochart?

Canva differs from Pictochart in the variety of graphics you have to choose from. Piktochart is great, but there is only one option (the rectangular piktochart). On Canva you can create any shape, and size graphic you want. It is a more versatile tool, and offers a lot more.
