There is a definite difference in the quality and clarity between JPEG, PNG, and GIF. The best quality between the three images is the JPEG image, followed by PNG, and then GIF. The GIF file is poor in comparison to the other two which are fairly close in a side by side comparison. The JPEG is just a bit clearer than the PNG file.
